A Note from Dads Club
In years past, Dads Club has been an active and helpful part of our PTO and campus. We have helped with recess equipment, helped build the garden, hosted family nights and on-campus campouts, and generally been an extra set of hands for PTO and administration as needed. We are excited to have Dads Club active again this year, and we'd love your help!
Most importantly, all volunteers will need to complete a CISD background check before they are allowed to volunteer on campus in any capacity. If you have not already completed one for this year, we highly encourage you to do this . https://www.coppellisd.com/page/visiting-and-volunteering
Some of the events we are planning this year as the Dads Club:
Dads Club Family Game Night (September 22)
Coppell ISD Homecoming Float and Parade (October 11)
Dads Club Campout (Spring date TBD)
If you are interested in volunteering for any of the events above, please complete the Google Form below. This allows us to contact you directly about the volunteering needs.

Another item we are excited about for the year is "Dads Club on Campus Days" at TCE. This is currently scheduled for Fridays, and members of the Dads Club are able to sign-up to spend a half or full day at TCE supporting the campus and classrooms in different ways. This may include:
- Welcoming students to school during morning arrival
- Helping in classrooms, the office, or PE as requested by teachers
- Joining staff for lunchroom duty
- Re-shelving books in the library
- Car line dismissal and high fives to end the day

CISD Super Teacher Nominations
CISD will continue to recognize educators throughout the 23-24 school year. One of the awards, Super Teacher, allows nominations from both staff and parents. Please see below for additional details.
Super Teachers:
The first nomination window closes on Sept. 27th.
Website to submit nominations: https://coppellisdtx.sites.thrillshare.com/o/cisd/page/super-teachers
**The Coppell ISD educator recognition program called “Super Teacher” recognizes campus educators as designers of engaging and innovative learning experiences that ignite the interests of learners. CISD wants to recognize educators whose learning environments, learning designs, curriculum implementation, and assessments model the CISD Learning Framework and transform teaching and learning.
Reminders
Background Checks
We ask that all families complete a volunteer background check. They do not carry over from year to year. Since the background checks take time to process, we ask that everyone complete one in case any type of volunteering opportunity (class field trip, Dads Club, Room parent, class volunteer, field day, etc.) arises during the year that you are interested in. Please click on the link below to complete.
Parking & Car Loop Reminders
- When exiting car loops during arrival and dismissal, follow the city signs requiring a right turn only.
- Be mindful of not blocking car loop entrances. If there is not room to pull up without blocking the entrance, please wait.
- Front and side car-loop areas are for families dropping off and picking up their child(ren). Parents in the loops will need to stay in their vehicle. If your child requires additional assistance to get out of the car, please park in one of our parking spaces.
- Use the designated crosswalks on both the front and side loop when walking across the parking lot. We have staff members at both arrival and dismissal in our crosswalk areas to support our kids in getting across the loop area safely.
- Keep handicap parking spots available for individuals that require them. Please avoid even briefly pulling into them to drop of your child if you do not have a handicap vehicle designation.
- Parking along the back curbs of the lots is not an option. You are welcome to utilize the Cozby library parking lot for overflow parking.
Thank you for your help in keeping our kids safe!

In order to qualify for Free & Reduced Meals, families are required to complete an application each year to determine their eligibility. CISD is encouraging our eligible families to complete an application online at www.nlappscloud.com.
