SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE
As the 2020-21 school year draws to a close, I want to thank all parents, students, and staff for their combined efforts to make it as normal a school year as possible. Despite the unique challenges, we were able to have a successful school year.
For the last few months, our COVID-related numbers have been improving drastically. Currently we have no positive cases and as of today we have only three students in quarantine due to symptoms or close contact.
Because of our greatly improved situation, I am happy to say that the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2021 is scheduled to be held as usual in the high school gymnasium at 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 22. Masks are recommended.
At this time, we are planning to return to “normal” for the 2021-22 school year. We will no longer offer our virtual one option, which involves live classroom instruction with an SV teacher. We will still offer the SV Academy for high school students as we did prior to COVID-19. Our custodians will continue to provide thorough cleaning as they always do. Surfaces, buses, etc. will be routinely sanitized. We will have some changes to our elementary student pick-up procedure as well. More information on this will be presented later. Keep in mind that things could change if we see a spike in cases over the summer, but as of now we plan to be back to business as usual in August.

Congratulations to our students who competed in the 2021 Future Problem Solving Affiliate Bowl! We are very proud of all of these students for the hard work they put into this program.
