Online registration for NEW Pre-K and Kindergarten students is now open. Current Pre-K students do not need to register at this time. Our annual Pre-K and Kindergarten Round Up will be Tuesday, April 17. We will have a parent information session as well as a campus tour. Parents will also have an opportunity to bring in documents to complete the enrollment process.

· Pre-K Parents: Informational meeting will start at 5:30 in the cafeteria. Stay after the meeting to turn in documents.

· Kindergarten Parents: Turn in documents at 5:30 in the library and stay for informational meeting at 6:00 in the cafeteria.

If you know anyone who has an incoming Pre-K or Kinder student, please pass on this information. We will also have some paid Pre-K tuition spots for next school year, so please complete the online registration process if you wish to be added to the waiting list. Please feel free to call the office with any questions.

The month of April, our PTO will be hosting an event called Pastries with Parents. This will be an opportunity for you to come eat breakfast with your child at school! PTO will provide juice and donuts. The event will be from 7:30-8:00 in the cafeteria on the following dates:

· Pre-K on Friday, April 6

· Kindergarten on Friday, April 13

· First Grade on Thursday, April 19

· Second Grade on Friday, April 27

We are in the process of planning our annual field day celebration! The date is May 11 and parents are welcome to come. The times will be as follows:

· Pre-K 9:00

· Kindergarten 10:15

· First Grade 12:30

· Second Grade 1:30

Although it seems so far away, Kindergarten graduation will be here before we know it. This is a very special event for our kindergarten students as we celebrate the completion of their first year in school. It will be held in the Lorena Performing Arts Center on Thursday, May 17 at 6:30 p.m.

Just a reminder, Career Day will be Friday, April 20 from 8:15-10:45 a.m. This special morning is set aside to demonstrate to our students the many exciting possibilities for their futures. Learning about careers helps children make connections between their current classroom learning and the careers they will one day choose. If you enjoy interacting with young children and would be willing to spend a morning sharing your career with the students, please contact Mrs. Forrest at 857-8909 or email at sunnyeforrest@lorenaisd.net.

Please do not forget to call the office when your student will be out for any reason. Absences that occur without any communication will result in unexcused absences.
