and is college or career ready.
Continuous Improvement Plan
The Victory in Our Schools Strategy Map is provided above. Our Continuous Improvement Plan is directly aligned to the District's Plan. The belief is that through our actions, we will contribute to the Victory that our Schools will experience, which ultimately means that our students will experience Victory and graduate CHS College or Career Ready. Teacher Appreciation Week is May 7-11. You get a Jeans Day, you get a Jeans Day, and you get a Jeans Day!
We know that you will be hungry after Senior Honors Night - so run over to grab some Chipotle to support our football team.
ABOVE THE LINE
Let's continue to Stay Above the Line. When there is a problem, We will See it, Own it, Solve it, and Do it. The Blame Game takes too much energy. That energy is better spent resolving the issue, because after all the blaming is over, the problem will still be there.
Continue to reflect back on your WHY anytime you waver in your willingness and desire to do what is best for children.
Reminders and Expectations
- The workday is 7:00 - 3:00. Please work hard to ensure that you are in adherence to this critical expectation.
- Always greet your students as they enter your class. This will mean that you are standing in your doorways. A lot of issues can be prevented with this simple gesture.
- Students should not take care of personal matters during class time, instructional time should always be protected.
- All students should have hall passes when leaving the classroom.
- Take attendance in Infinite Campus Daily
- Continue to contact parents on minor referrals and attendance concerns.
- Do not put students out of your classroom or send them to the office. Please follow the established protocol.
Duty Rotations -
May 7 -May 18: Team B
Duties and Responsibilities
Please greet your students at the door. This not only helps to create structure for your opening, but this also is a deterrent to tardiness. While at your door you should ensure that all students are moving down the hall and not stopping to congregate in the halls.
Testing Update
Senior Final Exams will take place the week of May 14 - 18. STAR 360 final screenings will also be administered to students in grades 9-11 during this time frame. Underclassmen Finals will begin May 22. The final exam schedule was emailed Thursday, and a copy is linked below.

Food for Thought
“Great teachers love their students. Greatness in our field is always a labor of love – of our students, our colleagues, our work, our subjects, and our purpose. Love can be the primary driver in our profession if it can be channeled into a new definition of what schools must become to prepare students for a world in which the ability to continue learning beyond the K-12 system is vital to their success and well-being.”
