Stride is offering a free virtual esports summer camp this year to help your child improve their esports skills, learn how to create video games, and learn how to code. Many of the skills developed in esports relate to a career in the tech industry. Your child can learn from the comfort of your very own home this summer.

The 2022 Stride K12 National Cook Off is officially underway! If your learner is ready to show off their amazing cooking skills and have the opportunity to win some once-in-a lifetime prizes, this contest is for them! The competition is open until 5:00 PM ET on April 25, 2022.

The top 5 semifinalists will receive a gift basket valued at $200. The National Grand Champion will receive a $1,000 Amazon e-gift card and an iPad! The Reserve Grand Champion will receive a $250 Amazon e-gift card and an iPad.

Calling all students in grades K–12: You are eligible to participate in the Stride National Art Competition! Tell your friends—and get your creative genius on! You choose the art medium. We choose the winners! Submissions for the Stride National Art Competition will be judged on creativity, originality, and technical skill. The deadline to submit is 5:00 PM ET on May 23, 2022.

Each grade band with have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner with 1st place receiving a $1,000 Amazon e-gift card and a Microsoft Surface Tablet!

Join Stride for April’s Nursing Club Speaker Series: Highlight on Long-Term Care and Hospice Nursing

Thursday, April 21st at 7pm ET

This month’s featured panel of speakers, Dr. Jennifer Shepherd of the American Nurses Association, Mr. Anthony Young, Hospice Team Leader and Jimiere Smith, Director of Nursing, Long-Term Care will discuss the role of Long-Term Care and Hospice Nursing, the unique aspects of Long-Term Care and Hospice Nursing, the essential skills required for this specialty and their personal journeys within this field.

Pinwheels are a beautiful symbol of the happy and healthy childhood that all children deserve. This month we invite you to show your support for the happiness and safety of children around the world by making your own pinwheel display!

How You Can Get Involved:

• Make or purchase inexpensive pinwheels and create a pinwheel garden in your yard or at a local business (with permission).
• Pinwheel Coloring Sheet
• Build a Pinwheel
• Make a Pinwheels for Prevention poster to display on your front porch or window.
