FREE ESPORTS SUMMER CAMP!
Stride is offering a free virtual esports summer camp this year to help your child improve their esports skills, learn how to create video games, and learn how to code. Many of the skills developed in esports relate to a career in the tech industry. Your child can learn from the comfort of your very own home this summer.
Feel free to sign your child up for multiple programs.

Stride National Cook Off is Here!
The 2022 Stride K12 National Cook Off is officially underway! If your learner is ready to show off their amazing cooking skills and have the opportunity to win some once-in-a lifetime prizes, this contest is for them! The competition is open until 5:00 PM ET on April 25, 2022.
The top 5 semifinalists will receive a gift basket valued at $200. The National Grand Champion will receive a $1,000 Amazon e-gift card and an iPad! The Reserve Grand Champion will receive a $250 Amazon e-gift card and an iPad.

Stride National Art Competition is Around the Corner!
Calling all students in grades K–12: You are eligible to participate in the Stride National Art Competition! Tell your friends—and get your creative genius on! You choose the art medium. We choose the winners! Submissions for the Stride National Art Competition will be judged on creativity, originality, and technical skill. The deadline to submit is 5:00 PM ET on May 23, 2022.
Each grade band with have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner with 1st place receiving a $1,000 Amazon e-gift card and a Microsoft Surface Tablet!

Stride Serves: Pinwheels for Prevention
Pinwheels are a beautiful symbol of the happy and healthy childhood that all children deserve. This month we invite you to show your support for the happiness and safety of children around the world by making your own pinwheel display!
How You Can Get Involved:
- Make or purchase inexpensive pinwheels and create a pinwheel garden in your yard or at a local business (with permission).
- Make a Pinwheels for Prevention poster to display on your front porch or window.
Be sure to share photos of your activities on your school's Facebook page with the hashtag #StrideServes!

Mental Health Series: De-Escalating Cycles of Conflict
Stride is excited to present a live event April 13th, 2022 for Learning Coaches and parents of students enrolled in Stride K12-powered schools on De-Escalating Cycles of Conflict, in partnership with the Cook Center for Human Connection.

Some parents feel like they’re stuck in a constant cycle of conflict with their children. Learn strategies to have more calm and productive conversations with your children by breaking the cycles of conflict.
The session covers the following:
- Understand we have internal protectors designed to protect us from harm
- Learn what exiles parts are within each one of us
- Learning to speak FOR our emotions and not from them
- Understanding your child's emotions
- Learn to become aware of your child's emotions as well as your own
