Greetings Sward Families:
Thank you for all of the families that participated in the pumpkin decorating contest. They look FANTASTIC!!! We sure do have super creative families :) I will send out an update with some photos so everyone can enjoy them.
Unfortunately, it looks like Mother Nature might not be on our side for an outdoor costume parade. So, we will plan to take lots of photos and share them out with our families.
Since it looks like it will be rainy and icky, the parent party volunteers will check in through the main doors on Brandt. There will be a table set up where you will receive your name badge from the ID you brought to be scanned. Please plan to arrive between 9:30-9:40 a.m. Once you have been checked in, you will move into the main gym where you will stay to visit with the other parent volunteers until 9:50. At 9:50, you will report to the classrooms to prepare for the party.
The parties are planned for 10:00-11:10. At the conclusion of the parties, we will ask for the parent volunteers to exit the building so the teachers will have the opportunity to distribute the PTA snacks (for those that have returned their permission slips with a "yes" checked for the snacks) as well as the breakfasts for those students who ordered a breakfast-to-go. Then, the students will have a few extra minutes to pack their book bags to prepare for dismissal. Dismissal for the students will occur at 11:30.
If the rain has subsided, there will be PTA volunteers near each of the 3 dismissal doors for the PTA ice cream sale for $1. There have been many more ice cream cups purchased than last week and they are ready to go :) If it is still raining, no worries... the ice cream sale will happen early next week (date based on weather). So, keep your dollar set aside for the next time.
