HAPPENINGS
Technology Fair
Mark your calendars for December 1. The annual FAST Technology fair will be held from 9-11am in the Innovation Hall at FAST. This event is the precursor to the Fulton County Technology Competition. FAST students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their projects prior to competing at the county level. Parents are invited to attend.
Student Council Food Drive
The Student Council food drive has been held over until Monday. If every FAST family would contribute two items, the students could meet their goal. They have chosen this charity as it will help families with food insecurities right here in our own community.
Student council members will be on hand at morning carpool to accept donations for North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC). The list of high need items can be found below. All items should be new and unexpired. Thank you so much for your support!
- Canned vegetables, especially corn and green beans
- Canned fruit
- Canned Meat (tuna, mackerel, salmon, Manwich, and other types)
- Tomato sauce/paste
- Canned soups and broth
- Baking needs, such as cake mixes, flour, sugar, spices, and oil
- Rice and Pasta
- Tea and Coffee(not K-pods)
- Boxed and canned milk products
- Individually wrapped snacks
- Juice boxes and Canned juice
- Individually wrapped fruit cups

School Hours
Uniforms
All students are expected to be in proper uniform every day. Repeat violations of uniform code will result in a call from the front office with a request to bring the appropriate clothing for the student. FAST uniform includes FAST logo polo or spirit wear, khaki or navy bottoms (or black for middle school). Shirts without the FAST logo are not considered proper uniform.

School Communication
All questions or concerns you have regarding your student should first be directed to their teacher. Please allow up to 48 hours for a response. If the teacher is unable to provide resolution, you should contact the Assistant Principal for your child's grade. On the off chance that you still have not been able to reach a resolution after contacting the teacher and the AP, you can contact Principal Mary Miller at mary.miller@fastk8.org. Our communication and escalation policy can be found on our website.
While under the auspices of Fulton County Schools, we are governed by our own governing board. Sending your issues directly to Fulton County rather than following the FAST communication chain will cause a delayed response as they will only defer to FAST and forward the issue back to us to address.
