CHIPS Weekly Update

Our students and staff had so much fun wearing costumes, pajamas, and silly hair to school this week! Thank you for your support of this fun tradition!

• November 16- CHIPS Open House 5:30-7:00 p.m.
• November 22-24- No School- Thanksgiving Recess

Please see the attached flyer regarding the PTO Basket Raffle. This is the PTO's biggest fundraiser of the year, and funds many enrichments for our students! You can help by donating items to the raffle baskets, and purchasing raffle tickets. Thank you for your continued support of our PTO and our students!

Please send in all raffle basket donations no later than Thursday, November 9.

The CHIPS PTO will be holding a Basket Raffle and Bake Sale during the CHIPS Open House on November 16th. Both the raffle and bake sale are fundraisers that help the PTO bring enrichments to CHIPS for our students. The PTO is looking for volunteers to donate baked goods, set up, clean up, sell tickets and baked goods during Open House. If you are interested in helping out, please see the sign up link below. Please note that children are not permitted to help while parents are volunteering. Thank you for your support!

With many upcoming events involving candy traditions, we ask that no child bring such items (Halloween candy, etc.) to school. It is best to save those special treats for home.

As there are many students with life threatening food allergies within our classrooms, we continue to advise that peanut/tree-nuts derived foods, shellfish/fish and (hard boiled/cooked) eggs not be sent in with your child for snack or lunch. Keeping your children safe is our priority. We continue to practice hand washing daily, disinfect our surfaces and monitor closely as to not share food items.

Included below is age-appropriate information, including safe and healthy snacks.

Please use our absence line (978-251-5188 Option 0) or attendance email (chipsattendance@chelmsford.k12.ma.us) to report your child's absence from school and be sure to state the reason for the absence (illness, appointment, travel, etc).

Nurse Kristen can be reached by calling the CHIPS main number (978-251-5188) and selecting option 3.

The holidays are coming! Chelmsford Public Schools collaborates with a number of organizations that provide additional food for Thanksgiving and gifts/gift cards for the winter holidays. We know its early (!) but program applications start soon.
