Principal's Corner
Dear Hilltopper Families,
Hard to believe our first semester is coming to a close. It seems just like yesterday that our students were walking into Glass for the first day of school! As we enter our second semester, I need to give a HUGE "thank you" to the parents, students, and staff for helping make our year better.
With students, parents, and staff working together, great things will continue to happen for the students in our school. Please take time this holiday season to give gifts of love, acceptance, and the knowledge that your children value all that you do for them. I appreciate the great opportunity of working with you and your children on a daily basis!
Best wishes for a wonderful Hilltopper holiday for you and yours.
Thank you,
Jeff

December 17th will be the annual Choral Holiday Concert at 7:30 PM in the E.C. Glass Auditorium (Donations at the Door)

Orchestra
On Friday, November 22nd, the EC Glass Combined Orchestras presented a music clinic at the annual VMEA Conference in Hot Springs, Virginia. Their clinic was led by Ms. Debra Lyle and focused on jazz music in orchestral settings. Only two high school orchestras in the state were invited to participate at the 2019 VMEA Conference, so it was an immense honor for our students to be selected!
World Languages
The World Languages Department at ECG will be celebrating the holidays in its annual party on Tuesday December 17th up on the 3rd floor at Glass from 2:30 until 3:15. There will be singing and lots of delicious food to enjoy as well as presentations on how different cultures celebrate the holidays. Students will compete for $15 gift certificates for the best Buche de Noel , best Gingerbread House, and best traditional Hispanic culture holiday creation. Sign up with your World Language Teacher to bring something to share~
