Birthdays at school
How do we celebrate birthdays and special events in EUSD? Due to Nutrition Guidelines for Birthdays, we are not able to accept food items, even store-bought, to be part of celebrating an individual child's birthday or special event. You may ask how do we celebrate birthdays at Conway? We have two unique ways that we celebrate.
First, in the main office you can fill out a form to have your child's birthday acknowledged on our electronic marquee to display a 24 hour message. The cost is only $5. If you cannot make it into the office, you can complete the electronic form https://forms.gle/3dMLHhiK5MTXJdpL9
and send in $5 cash or check made payable to Conway ASB, and send it in with your learner. If it is a surprise please put it in an envelope addressed to the Conway ASB.
Second, our office staff has added a fun way to acknowledge each student's birthday. Students can visit the office for a special birthday pencil and cougar paw.
Student Led Conference Family Feedback Survey
Thank you to our families for your presence at our Student Led Conferences. Our goal was 100% participation and we are grateful that we are very close to meeting that goal. If you missed your conference, please reach out to your teacher to reschedule that important event.
In order for us to continually improve, we ask that you complete the SLC survey.

Family Watch Week is an excellent opportunity for parents to witness firsthand the wonderful activities and learning experiences taking place. This event is not a full performance but rather a casual showcase of what we've been working on throughout the session.

Community Event - YMCA, PTA, and Conway Family Event
Trunk or Treat/Fall Festival October 26th 5:00pm - 7:00 pm
We are excited about a collaborative family event coming this year! YMCA Light on after dark Fall Festival! This event cannot be successful without parent volunteers! Family Stories by Latino Literacy Project
Cuentos Familiares also known as Family Stories by Latino Literacy Project is coming to Conway!
This is a family reading program for parents of children in elementary school.
Families get the opportunity to read bilingual books rich in Hispanic literature and share the stories with their children at home.Through this program, families will be provided with materials and guidance in creating a family album. Stay tuned for the flier that will be sent home this week with more information.

Are you a PTA Member for the 2023-20024 school year? Did you know that PTA members are NOT committed to any volunteer responsibilities but members DO get access to exclusive benefits? Parent Teacher Association(PTA) members help advocate for improvements in the education, health and the well-being of all children and families of California. To become a PTA member, you simply make a $10 donation to Conway Academy PTA. A portion of the $10 membership donation will go to the California PTA and the rest will be used to support programs at Conway. To pay membership dues in cash, stop by the front office and pick up a PTA envelope. Fill out the required information and turn it in to your students' teacher or front office staff. Families who turn in membership dues before September 13 will be entered to win the School Supplies box pictured on the last picture. Winner will be announced at the next Crew Celebration on Thursday, September 14th. We are EPIC in all that we do. At Conway we're not passengers, WE ARE CREW!
