EJMS Jaguar Weekly Dec. 11-Dec. 15

EJMS Families,

We are so proud of the hard work students put into iReady this past week. We have already seen some tremendous growth, so please make sure you talk to your child about their performance. If they made any growth they received tickets to put in for prize drawings.

The PTO helped organize the 12 days of Christmas and so far the staff at EJMS have been spoiled throughout December! I want to thank all of the parents and families who have helped contribute financially or with their time. We have felt your love and appreciation! On behalf of all of the East Middle staff I would like to say thank you for your kindness this holiday season.

We hope everyone has a wonderful winter break, Christmas, and Happy New Year. Before we get too far ahead we first hope that this week is great!

All of the faculty and staff want to share our gratitude with all of the groups that have been part of our 12 days of Christmas. We so appreciate the meals, treats, and other goodies, which certainly make us feel appreciated. Thank you for all of the ways that you contribute to staff and student morale year round, especially during these special times.

We had a wonderful turn-out for our EJMS/EJHS band concert last Tuesday. It was great to see and hear each of the grade level bands perform. Thank you so much for your continued support of our music programs.

Be sure to come out to Centenary Methodist for the EJMS/EJHS choir concert this Tuesday. The performance promises to be another beautiful one.

EJMS Art will be displayed on the mesh display boards at JCPL for the month of December. Go check it out!

EJMS Art will also be represented at the Jessamine County Courthouse for the winter themed display during the St. Nich Festival on 12/9!

Families who ordered from the Art to Remember Fundraiser should have received their orders back. All items shipped to the school were sent home with the student on 11/17 in reference to the Remind message that was sent out by Mrs. Cobb. Let Mrs. Cobb know if you did not receive your order.

If you haven't yet, be sure to stop by the Courthouse to see evergreen trees and winter scenes created by the artistic students at East Middle (some pictured below). You'll also find featured artists from among our school community at the Jessamine County Public Library.

We had some amazing talent from among the girls who came to try out for our volleyball team this year. Coach Coofer had to make some tough decisions. It's going to be an exciting season for sure!

Being a part of PTO doesn’t have to be attending meetings and volunteering at events. A HUGE part of PTO is fundraising so we CAN do all the wonderful things for our staff, students and families at East Jessamine Middle School.
