Dear AESD Families,

The following update is provided to keep you informed regarding the Anaheim Elementary School District:

Anaheim Elementary School District will offer the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program in June and July.

Our summer academic program hours are 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. from June 12- June 30 at all in-person campuses. The Anaheim YMCA will provide extended hours for interested families daily from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Additionally, in July, the YMCA will also offer a Summer Camp at 5 school sites (Franklin, Lincoln, Stoddard, Sunkist and Westmont) for six hours per day from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

TGR Learning Lab will be offering one week summer classes for students entering the 5th – 12th grades in the fall. This summer they will be offering four different weeks starting the week of June 26. The Day Program is for students entering the 5th and 6th grades and the Expanded Learning Program is for students entering the 7th – 12th grades. Applications are due to the TGR Learning Lab by Friday, June 2, 2023. Classes are filled on a first come, first serve basis. For more information and to register please visit the TGR website.

US Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona recently set a goal of Multilingualism for ALL students in the USA. AESD has provided this opportunity for our students and residents of North Orange County.

• Kindergarten Korean Dual Language Immersion at Jefferson Elementary. For more information please visit their website

On May 22, 2023, 4th District PTA and OC Health Care Agency will be providing a virtual informational meeting on Fentanyl. Significant evidence of poisoning and overdose deaths have increased and is a risk to children. The informational meeting is offered via zoom at 10:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m. You must register through this link.

On Saturday, May 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., we will host a Mental Health Awareness Community Fair at Betsy Ross Elementary. There will be resources, opportunity drawings, music, games, snacks and a photo booth. Please join us!
