January Counseling Lessons
Diversity and Inclusion
Hello Byrd Families! We recently wrapped up classroom guidance lessons on the topics of diversity and inclusion. Pre-K through 1st grade heard the story ‘Our Diversity Makes Us Stronger’ by Elizabeth Cole and learned about all of the ‘pieces’ that make them who they are! 3rd through 5th graders learned about the many ways we can be inclusive and appreciate all of the things that make us unique through ‘Inclusion Tic-Tac-Toe’ and ‘Reindeer Games.’ In our next round of lessons we are talking about the brain and all of the amazing things it can do!
Reminders
If you wish to volunteer, eat lunch with your child, or enter the school building in any capacity, you must check in at the front office with your driver's license! We cannot let anyone in the building without checking their driver's license. This is to keep our students and staff safe. Thank you for understanding!
- If you need to pick up your student in the office, please do so before 2pm! Pickup after 2pm should be done through the car rider line.
