Week of January 16
Week of January 16-20
Our committees are well on their way planning wonderful events. We have three big school events this Spring that are very exciting!! We invite all staff to attend if possible and ask MCEA members to choose at least two events to attend.
Reading/Math/STEM Night - Thursday, March 16
Autism Awareness Carnival - Thursday, April 20
Family Culture Night - Thursday, May 11
Contract language:
MCEA unit members will attend back-to-school night and two other activities outside of the contractually agreed upon workday. Duty assignments on holidays or the Sabbath of unit members shall be voluntary. School-based unit members shall select the two non-duty-day assignments. Attendance at programs, meetings, and activities beyond these minimums are desirable, but voluntary.
Please see this link for Sub Plan Expectations. This was developed by the leadership team in conjunction with our SEIU rep and EFR.
It's testing season!
Although the MAP and DIBELS assessment window will be extended through Friday, February 10th, we are keeping on track with our current testing schedule. We do plan, however, to keep current focus groups until mid-February. This is will give us more time to gather the data and develop new focus groups without the pressure of also finishing grades at the end of the quarter.
