Work HARD! Dream BIG! Believe in YOURSELF! Never GIVE UP!
Volume 2 - Issue 4 - August 12, 2019
Message from the Principal
Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
This past Friday our Science Department held our first Rise-Up Friday intervention. Over sixty students who were identified by their Science teachers were able to stay after school and took advantage of an opportunity to raise their grade. This targeted academic intervention is aimed at helping students recover their grade before it's too late.
Students who were not able to stay on Friday afternoon can attend Science tutoring on Monday 8/12/19 in the Library after school.
Our next Rise-up Friday intervention will take place on Friday 8/23/19 and will focus on Math.
Thank you for your hard work and remember;
At CVM we work HARD, we dream BIG, we believe in OURSELVES and we never, ever , GIVE UP!

Please plan ahead - No Food Deliveries!
In order to minimize disruptions to the learning environment, we ask that you refrain from delivering food to your student via the main office. The main office staff will not be able to page your student during lunch because we also have advisory going on at the same time for the opposite grade level. This means that if your student is at 7th grade lunch, 8th graders are in advisory at that time. We will not interrupt classes to call for students to come to the office to pick up their food delivery. Additionally, food delivery services such as Uber Eats are not allowed on campus.
We ask that you send your student with a packed snack/lunch or use our cafeteria services. You may submit a lunch application to see if your student qualifies for free or reduced price lunch. If they don't , food is available for purchase in the cafeteria $1.80 for breakfast and $3.00 for lunch.
Thank you!

See Something, Say Something!
Students and parents can help too! The Sweetwater District partners with the Chula Vista Police Department and Crime Stoppers to help keep us all safe. With the use of the P3 Tips App, students and parents are able to download an App on their iPads or smart phones where they have the ability to submit anonymous tips to report a possible crime, bullying or if someone might be a danger to him/her self or others. The tips are reviewed by CVPD and together with our administration, they are investigated.
Please take a moment to watch a short video to learn more about the P3 Tips App. And make sure you download it on your school iPad or phone.
Remember, WE are ALL responsible for keeping our campus safe!
