Mr. Posick's Friday email

Well, we were surprised with a mid-week warm up, but the cold has come back. Please remind your children about proper outer wear as we will be outside for recess any time that the temperature is above zero degrees real temperature or -15 degrees wind chill. Yes, I do go outside with them and I do wear my snow pants.

One of our Merton parents was kind enough to take some video, via a drone, during our Color Run. He put together the awesome video you can see below. Thanks, Mr. Angeli!

Speaking of indoor recess time, as well as other times during our day, we are looking to create maker spaces at both the Primary and Intermediate Schools. One component of these maker spaces is a Lego Wall. We are looking for donations of Legos, and not new Lego sets but Legos you might not be using any more. Thanks for your consideration!

Staying home from school may help your child begin feeling better sooner, keep others

from getting sick, and will certainly save time and energy on phone calls, transportation

arrangements and groups of sick children waiting in the health room. If your child is sick, he/she must be fever, nausea and diarrhea free for a minimum of 24 hours before returning to school. This helps all of our students as it helps keep the illness out of school and away from other students. Your child’s health and safety are major concerns to us and we appreciate your understanding.
