A Note from Mrs. Pitts
Dear RES Families and Supporters,
Has your child mentioned "quiet time?" This is a ten-minute period of time that occurs at the end of lunch and recess and takes place in the classroom. Lunch and recess are loved by many of our students but many also love a period of the day in which they can relax, rejuvenate and reset. During quiet time, students are asked to engage in activities that do not involve technology and are silent and independent, such as coloring, drawing, reading or puzzles. We have found that this one 10-minute period may not be what all students need but it is one of the only periods of the day where students can experience this calm without question. We would love feedback on your child's experience, so feel free to email me any time!
