Stonybrook Red Storm Forecast
Week of: January 13th
Dear Stonybrook Families,
Thank you for reminding your scholars to wear only jeans or khakis, not to wear jackets or hoodies in the building and to keep their cell phones and ear buds put away. The admin team had less issues to address concerning these things last week and were able to spend more time coaching and growing teachers.
Each grade level will be taking a class trip at the end of the spring semester. Information about the fifth grade end of year field trip went home with students on Friday. Payment for the trip is due in March so please take a look at the information provided.
Sixth grade information will be coming home this week.
7th grade parents, your scholar will be bringing home an informational flier regarding the upcoming class trip to Chicago that will take place this spring in March. Please read over the informational flier and if you are interested in your child attending, please do not forget to register on-line to save your child's seat on the travel bus. Information on how to register, costs, and trip details are all outlined on the informational flier that your child will be bringing home on Monday, January 13.

As the weather becomes increasingly colder, it is important to review our morning drop-off procedures.
- Students are not able to enter the building until 8:35 a.m. This is the earliest we can guarantee appropriate adult supervision.
- Students should NOT be dropped off prior to 8:35 a.m. each day; if they are, they will be standing in cold temperatures until staff supervision arrives and students are let in to the cafeteria.

MSD Warren Township follows these guidelines and we are inviting parents and guardians to join our Pesticide Notification Registry. By signing up for this registry, you will be notified via email at least 48 hours prior to a pesticide application at your child’s school, subject to certain exceptions. You will be invited to sign up for this notification each school year.
You will need to sign up for this notification every school year.

LET'S FIGHT THE FLU TOGETHER
Your decision to get a flu shot or not goes well beyond you. It also affects the many lives you touch...
Influenza ia a contagious disease of the respiratory tract (nose, throat, and lungs) that can lead to serious complications, including pneumonia and the worsening of other chronic health conditions. Flu symptoms may include fever, headache, extreme tiredness, dry cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, and muscle aches. The best way to protect your family from new influenza strains is to get vaccinated each year.
Please stay healthy during the coming Holiday Season by using good handwashing techniques and keeping the following areas germ free in your home:
1) Telephones (have you cleaned your cell phone lately?)
2) Appliances such as a refrigerator and microwave.
3) Faucets
4) Light switches and door handles.
5) TV remotes
Enjoy a Happy and Healthy Holiday season!!!
Thank you,
Sharon Larpenter R.N.
