The Long Range Planning Committee is in need of new members - specifically in the Castle Rock and Parker regions, as well as parents/guardians of charter school students. Would you please spread the word with your networks (more information is below). Thank you!

Are you passionate about shaping the future of education and facilities in our community? We invite you to apply for a unique opportunity to become a member of the Long Range Planning Committee (LRPC) for the Douglas County School District (DCSD). Established in 1983, the LRPC plays a crucial role in advising the Board of Education on matters related to population trends, facility usage, school attendance boundaries, and much more.

Your expertise and insights will help shape the future of our schools and facilities while serving as a vital link between our community and the Board of Education.

Application Details:

While we accept applications from all areas of the county, we are particularly interested in individuals residing in the following areas:

• South Castle Rock

• East Castle Rock

• Castle Pines North

• North Parker

• Parents of students attending Charter Schools

The Black & Gold yearbook is excited to offer five days for seniors to get a free photo taken for the 2024 yearbook. NOTE: If you already had your photo taken by Keepsake or Monty Nuss, you do NOT need to sign up for the free day.

Please only sign up for ONE time slot. All times are during Access and first lunch, so no student will have to miss class time. The dates are: August 29, August 31, September 12, September 21 and September 26. Any student who does not get their photo taken on one of these free days or at the Keepsake or Monty Nuss studios will not be in the senior portrait section of the 2024 yearbook. Questions?
