Hallsville Board Selects New Superintendent
The Hallsville Board of Education is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Tyler Walker to be the next superintendent of the Hallsville School District, starting on July 1, following the retirement of Superintendent John Downs on June 30.
The Hallsville Board of Education used feedback from students, staff, and community members to help guide them during this process.
"With the assistance of our superintendent search firm, EGL, we've diligently sought the next leader for Hallsville Schools, and in Mr. Walker, we've found an exceptional candidate," shared Board President Bryan Wildenhain. "With his superintendent's background and skill set, we are confident he is the right person to lead our District and build upon the strong foundation that has been laid in Hallsville. He will continue implementing our vision to 'Improve lives through learning.'"
Mr. Walker has served as the Higbee R-VIII School District Superintendent in Higbee, Missouri, for the past three years. During Mr. Walker’s educational career, he served four years as a K-12 At-Risk Coordinator and social studies teacher and four years as a K-12 principal.
