Annual Storybook Pumpkin Patch
StoryBook Pumpkin Patch
Join in on our annual Pumpkin Decorating display! You and your child are invited to decorate (but not carve) a pumpkin to show off in the Behlau Library. The pumpkin should be decorated as a children’s storybook character (ex: The Cat in the Hat, Elephant and Piggie, Fly Guy, or any other). The pumpkin can be painted or otherwise decorated, but not carved. Please do not use spray paint, as we have discovered that it causes the pumpkin to rot faster.
We will display the pumpkins in the library for all to see and enjoy. The students will be asked to fill out an index card with their name, teacher’s name, and the name of their book character/book that will be posted by their pumpkin.
Pumpkins should be brought beginning October 9th and will be sent back home with the students on November 2nd and 3rd. Any pumpkins left after the 3rd will be thrown away.
Please contact your librarian Veronica Martinez with any questions.
