Encore Weekly Showcase
Highlighting outstanding work from learners in Encore!
We hope you enjoy!
Many learners have gone above and beyond in our special content areas, and have really shown their creativity, resourcefulness, passions and interests in the work that they've shared with their learning facilitators! Keep up the great work! New work will be featured here each week!
Week of 4/20
Music
Carly Knapp, 5th grade
Carly learned both parts for one of our chorus songs, We Can Dream, (part 1 and part 2) and even recorded the intro on piano. She recorded multiple tracks using Soundtrap, all by herself! Beautiful singing, Carly, those harmonies are amazing! The lyrics are also so inspiring for these times. I may have shed a tear!
We Can Dream
Ava Graff, 7th grader
Ava is an artist in the making. She's been figuring out, making up, and learning harmonies to some pop songs, including one Meistersingers was going to sing for mini-THON. These two videos just scratch the surface of what she has been working on at home, musically!
Don't Stop Believing
Lean On Me
Bryce Steach, 6th grade
Bryce also was able to learn 3 part harmonies and made a video using the Acapella app for one of our chorus songs, "Changes." Bryce recently joined chorus and is way ahead of the game if he is singing harmonies like this by himself!!
Changes
Amariah Sanger, 5th grade
Amariah got super creative with parody writing, and let her creative spirit fly with this awesome song to the tune of "Be our Guest." She wrote the lyrics, came up with props, a costume and staging for her video! Wow!
Quarantine Parody
Art
Brielle Frick, 6th grade
Hi, Artists! I made this Lego set this morning for art. Our family loves purchasing Lego sets including cars, Lego Architecture, and many other sets for keeping busy during quarantine. I also love cameras and photography, so I did a mini photoshoot for you guys with my Canon! I love being creative so for this shot I decided to have one of the girls climbing the tree, but having the focus on the girl on the ground! Can you spot the squirrel in the tree?
Tanner Travitz, 5th grade
I made this out of things from natural things around my house.
Technology Education
Mrs. Barr's 7th grade Tech Ed
Mrs. Barr’s 7th grade Technology Education learners were busy with some hands-on Engineering projects at the conclusion of Marking Period 3. Bridge building, robotic arms, and catapults helped them understand the Engineering Design Process using materials they could easily find around the house. Well Done 7th graders!!

Silus Brandt, 5th grade
Before we even met, one adult and even some learners told me that he had a skill set that he wanted to use in my classroom. It was apparent when he introduced himself that he wanted to show me his abilities. When we finally began the sewing unit, he quickly completed his project, eager to “help” by taking a closer look at the sewing machines that had “repair signs” on them. Silas was able to fix a large number of the machines with ease. He was awarded multiple baron bucks as a thank you. Silus is a difference maker, always respectful, responsible, and his repairs kept us all safe in the sewing lab! I am proud to share this true account of a learner going above and beyond and sharing it with others! ~Ms. Henry
Physical Education and Health
Syrus Lubeskie, 6th grade
For Phys Ed class, Syrus Lubeskie created an AWESOME Fitness Obstacle Course outside. Not only did he complete the course, he encouraged his mom and brother to do so as well! Great job Sy staying active and getting outdoors.
