Yes, I said it again. I just want to reinforce that you need to use the information from your teachers below NOT the schedule that is posted in the OLS.
You will be receiving email from your math and reading teachers today regarding updates to next week's CC schedule.
3. THE BATTLE OF THE HOMEROOM CLASSES HAS BEGUN!
This year our homeroom classes will be in an ongoing competition to earn points to see who has the most school pride. Points were awarded based on completion of the readiness exams.
30 points to the homeroom with the most overall participation in each grade
20 points to any homeroom reaching 95% completion overall
10 extra points to the overall winner.

3rd Grade Reading with Mrs. Deegan-Smith
Hello 3rd Graders! I hope you enjoy the long weekend. Please look at each ELA Course below to help you prepare for the week of September 4-7.
PLEASE IGNORE THE STRIDE COURSE that loaded this morning into your Daily Plan. (see picture below)
Assignments that should be done today, August 31:
Literature Unit 1 Lesson 8: LC should have graded your summary and inputted score
Teacher Graded Assignment in USA Test Prep: Reading 3 TGA 1 Fables
Vocabulary: Unit 1 Lesson 10
Spelling: Unit 2 Lesson 10
Literature: You will read in your "K12 Classics for Young Readers" pages 12-25, and complete "Language Arts Activity Book" pages LC 7-10. These are the orange pages at the front of the workbook. You will complete OLS Unit2 Lessons 1-4. Please do NOT begin Unit 5. Please see picture below.
Writing: You will complete OLS Unit 2 Lessons 7-10 and Language Arts Activity Book pages WS 6-7. Remember these are the purple pages at the back of the workbook.
Vocabulary: No materials are required. You will complete OLS Unit 2 Lessons 1-5. Since it's a short week, please skip lesson 2.
Spelling: No materials are required. You will complete OLS Unit 3 Lessons 1-5. Since it's a short week, please skip lesson 2.
Reading Class Connect: We will be studying character traits and interactions.
Teacher Graded Assignments: No TGA in USA Test Prep this week.
Please check the Gradebook Tuesday, September 4 to see if you have any 'm's.

Literature: Units 1, 2, 3, 4 & TGAs 1, 2, 3
Writing: Units 2, 3 4
Vocabulary: Units 1, 2, 3 4 (test every other Friday)
Spelling: Units 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,8 (test every Friday)
3rd Grade Math with Mrs. Moore
I hope you enjoy your long weekend! This week in math we will complete Unit 1 (lessons 9, 10, 12, 13) , comparing numbers and rounding. Do your very best on the Unit Review! You also have TGA #1, in USA Test Prep, that is due on Friday. You can complete it anytime during the week, but please make sure you do it before signing off on Friday.
Please remember to come to class with your journal, pencil, a working headset with microphone, and an awesome attitude each week. Also, don't forget to practice your flashcards with your learning coach for 5-10 minutes each night. Happy September!
3rd Grade Science with Mrs. Cummings
Happy Friday! I hope you all get plenty of rest and family time over your three day weekend! Next week we will review your learning of insect life cycles. You will complete Unit 1 Lessons 4 and 5 on your own.

3rd Grade Social Studies with Mrs. Lipscomb
Hello 3rd graders, your Class Connect schedule for Social Studies will remain the same. This week you will be completing unit 1, lessons 6 and 7. During class on Friday, we will work together on lesson 7. We will practice locating places on a map, such as the equator, the North Pole, and the South Pole. You will learn to draw key points on a map and create a map of your own.
3rd Grade Music with Mrs. Bass
Every week you will check the grade level newsletter to see which Music Studio lessons to complete. Just open U1 L1 in the OLS and click the link to take you to Music Studio! (This is why everything in the OLS for Music EXCEPT for U1 L1 has been marked skipped.) :)

3rd Grade Health/PE/Art with Ms. Buchanan
Happy Friday!!! I know yall have been busy working hard in your lessons this week. Many of you have sent pictures of your self portrait already. I am still looking through them all. They are amazing!!! In Health next week you will continue learning about the body. In PE you will practice your ball handling skills.
