Staying Safe & Healthy At Home
Focus on Fruits
Fruits provide many nutrients that are vital for a healthy body! Fruits are naturally low in calories, fat, and sodium. They are a great source of potassium, vitamin C, folate, and dietary fiber. Incorporating fruits into every meal can help us be healthier by getting the vitamins and minerals we need. Here are just a few tips on how to get started:
- Keep a bowl of washed fruit on the table
- Try fruit at dinner by adding fruits to a salad
- Be a good role model and include fruits in your snack choices
- Don't have fresh fruit, offer canned fruit (in water or 100% juice) for a snack.
