Join Dad's Club
Are you a dad, or someone who is like a dad to someone at St. Cecilia? We are starting "Dad’s Club" - a social club for anyone who fits that description and wants to help out with a few projects around the school. If interested, please click on the button below and fill out the form to get the notifications. Our first meeting is Wednesday, September 14th, at 7pm. St. Cecilia’s cornerstone is its' community, let’s put that good will to good use.
Happy National Substitute Week!
This week we celebrate all of our amazing substitute teachers! A special thanks to Cathy Lyons (retired St. Cecilia teacher), Debbie Rosenberg (retired substitute teacher), Molly Humpal and Danielle Lyons! We could not make it through the school year without their dedication to our school, students, and community.

Living and Sharing our Mission - Cardinals in the Community
We believe in the mission of St. Cecilia Cathedral Grade School:
- To teach and live the Catholic faith with a nurturing, family-like community.
- Teach respect for all.
- Foster each student's academic potential.
Our students live and share the mission both in the classroom and out in our communities. See this week's "Cardinals in the Community" who are living the mission this summer. If you have examples of how our students are displaying the mission and sharing their faith with others, please send this information to Mrs. Pick (jpick@stcecilia.net).

Cathedralfest Updates
Every year (usually the first weekend of October), we host our parish fundraiser called CathedralFest. This event used to be called Oktoberfest but in 1997 the name was changed to provide a unique experience tied directly to the Cathedral.
This event is a HUGE undertaking with lots of activities taking place from Friday (September 30) through Sunday (October 2). It's a good idea just to block this weekend off because you (and your kids) are going to want to be a part of this amazing tradition.
Each week we'll share information about Cathedralfest so you aren't caught off guard with all of the items happening. This weekend is a great opportunity for you to get many of your volunteer hours fulfilled so be on the lookout for sign ups. Some of you asked for volunteer opportunities for the whole family and this is it! Cathedralfest is a family-friendly weekend!
Please take a look at the picture to see when tickets can be turned in and when prizes will be awarded to students. This is a great way to support the parish!
We are in need of a chili cook off lead for Cathedralfest and chairs for 2023. If you are interested, please contact Jean Smith.
