Board Meeting Report

​​The Wentzville School District Board of Education held a meeting on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021. It was live-streamed via the District YouTube channel and can be viewed by visiting the WSD on YouTube. Last night the Board of Education approved the name of the new middle school – North Point Middle School. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on what the new school should be named. We look forward to an amazing school year at North Point Middle School. Go Grizzlies!

The WSD Board of Education was proud to recognize Mason Neal and Ronan Townes from Timberland High School for being selected as Semifinalists in the 67th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

John Schulte, assistant superintendent of administrative services, provided the Board an update on District safety. The Board looked at the various safety measures the District has in place, heard about staff training, and was presented with District discipline data trends.

Dr. Keri Skeeters, assistant superintendent of teaching and learning, presented the Professional Learning Program evaluation to the Board. She touched on topics including how the District supports professional learning for staff and past and present goals for the department.

Dr. Jennifer Hecktor, assistant superintendent of human resources, presented various data points the District looks at as it relates to human resources during the department's program evaluation. This included District turnover and retention rates, as well as national trends. She spoke about past and present goals for the Human Resources Department and also talked about the benefits of working for the WSD.

Greg Lawrence, director of technology, gave the Board an update on the District’s technology usage as it relates to security. He talked about the various ways students are protected by the District as well as state and federal regulations.
