Patriot Peek at the Week News

Next week, our 3rd-8th grade students will be taking the IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness) tests at various times throughout the week. Please be sure students get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and come prepared with a charged device, headphones or earbuds, and a filled water bottle. We want all of our students to feel confident and stress-free! Please encourage your child at home to simply try his/her best on the tests. We will have special dress-up days throughout the week for all students. Check out the flyer below for more information about each day. We hope everyone will join in the fun!

Girls that have registered for this camp should plan to attend next week at the below times:

- 1st-3rd Grade from 4:00-5:00

- 4th-6th Grade from 5:00-6:30

The camp will be held at Wolf Ridge on everyday next week, except for Wednesday

(April 26,27,29,&30)

This camp is for 4th-8th grade boys that have an interest in playing basketball. There is still time to register! Contact tshort@bhcusd.org with any questions or information about how to register.

Thank you to all those that registered for summer learning. We are beginning our plans to make this summer count for our students! It is going to be great.

Summer learning will begin on June 7th and end on July 1st. Students can arrive as early as 7:30, but learning will take place Monday-Thursday from 8:30-11:30. A free breakfast and lunch will be provided to all those that participate.

We will provide those that registered with more information soon!

Color Run Registration Forms can be picked up outside the Wolf Ridge Office anytime!

Students in grades 3-8 will be taking the IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness) during the week of April 26th. There is no virtual option for remote students. Remote students will either need to come in during testing times this week or be counted absent for testing days. Your child's teacher will provide you with information about specific times for testing this week.

We do not want any of our students to stress about these tests. Just do your best!

We are excited to announce that we will honor our 8th graders on May 13th at 7:00pm. If there is inclement weather, our rain date will be May 27th. Students will be allowed to invite up to 6 guests. All guests should plan to bring their own lawn chair as the ceremony will take place on the BHHS Football Field. Families will be social distanced and masks will be required.

PFK will be providing an extra special treat for students on this day.

Students that registered for summer learning will attend Monday-Thursday from 8:30-11:30. Students may be dropped off as early at 7:30 to accommodate working parents.
