Message from the Principal
Happy New Year! As you know by now, we will be having a 2 hour (120 minute) delay tomorrow, January 8th. Our doors will open at 10:30AM and school will begin at 10:45AM. Our swim program for grade 2 (Desvoyaux's class) will be canceled tomorrow.
We hope you had a great week with your families. We are one week down into the new year, which is always a transition for all! The next few weeks before February break is an important time of the year where we are able to use the momentum of the fall to push forward and focus on solid instruction with minimal interruptions. I look forward to all that it brings!
We are currently in process of doing our winter screeners to check for student progress. Similar to the fall, we will be in contact with you if your child falls in the at risk category. This could be for two reasons. Sometimes, students make significant progress but not enough to move out of the at risk category as the target/benchmark increases throughout the year. Other times, students simply make minimal progress toward the benchmark. In either case, we believe that it is important to connect with you, so we are all on the same page and can support these students and provide them with what they need to make progress and move closer to benchmarks. Please note, some students who were not at risk in the fall may now find themselves at risk for the same reasons above. The good news is that we are on top of it and constantly using data to ensure all our students are moving in the right direction. I will be speaking about this at our next PTO meeting if you are interested in hearing more! Data is my passion, and I love making sure we are doing everything we can to support our students.
One of our goals for the new year is to upload photos on a more regular basis. We were much better at this last year and want to get better at sharing all the wonderful things that happen here. Stay tuned...
I hope you have a great week!
Mrs. Boyle
Family Survey - School Improvement Plan
We are wrapping up our 2022-2024 School Improvement Plan and starting to think about our next plan and the goals we want to have.
The three areas of focus for the School Improvement Plan are:
- Student Growth and Outcomes
- School Environment
- Family and Community Engagement: Outreach and Connections
Our school council is currently working on a family survey to be sent out to our Studley community later this month or early February. It is our hope that this survey will be filled out by ALL our families in order to gather the necessary information to help move our school forward in a direction that reflects all of you. It has been a few years since we have done this, and it is important since you should have a voice in our school. We will be sharing the draft survey at our next PTO meeting if you are interested in sharing your thoughts. If you are unable to do that but have thoughts about topics/questions that should be asked, please send me an email. The more voices - the better!
Car Drop Off/Outdoor Play
As you know, our school day starts at 8:30AM. This means there are no staff members on duty to supervise students until 8:30AM. Several students are leaving their cars before 8:30AM to play. If you are allowing your child(ren) to leave your car and play before school, they must be supervised. Students cannot leave that area and go to the side or back of the building where they would be unsupervised. Thank you for your attention to this.
Grade 2 Swim Program
We had our first class attend swim on Friday, and it was a great success. The students were well behaved and represented us all in a positive way. We look forward to another successful week!
This week, due to the early release on Friday, there will be NO SWIM on Friday. To make up for that, both Burke/Fallon and Patrone/Fallon will attend on Wednesday, January 10th. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
Community Resource and Support Liaison
Michelle Christopher, a Studley staff member, is also our Community Resource and Support Liaison. If you ever find yourself needing supports but do not know where to turn, she can help. Her role is to connect families with community resources that you may not know are even available. We are here to help each other, so please reach out to me if you would like to connect with Ms. Christopher. You can also reach out to her directly at mailto:mchristopher@attleboroschools.com.

Winter Weather
As the weather gets colder, we want to remind you that we will be going out to recess as often as we can. We will only be indoors if it is wet from rain/snow or if the "feels like" temperature is less than 25 degrees. Please send your child to school with warm clothing (hats, gloves and coats) to help students stay warm in the brisk cold air!
