Staff of the Week
Mrs. Harrall is one of the most beloved teachers here in Verona. She has been here for over 21 years and this year will most likely be her last. She is planning to retire at the end of this school year but says it will be a very bitter sweet time. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and got her Bachelor’s at MSU. She then went on to get her Master’s in Administration at Williams Wood University. She loves her job, loves getting students out of their rough patches, and helping them achieve their goals of college. Although she sees Verona as family, she also has a family of her own. She has three children, six grandchildren, and a husband who she has been married to for 41 years. On her free time, Mrs. Harrall likes to make quilts, read, paint, make crafts, and go camping. She says that if she was not a teacher, she would most likely have been a social worker.
Student of the Week
Caridad Comas is a senior this year. She believes to be a good student you have to try your best to pass all your classes. She will be attending cosmetology school in Springfield after she graduates. She lives at home with her mother, her father, and her sister. She also has three guinea pigs, four dogs, and a rabbit. Caridad enjoys playing video games and is fascinated by virtual reality. She also likes to play her guitar. Caridad loves Verona. She wouldn’t change a single thing about it. She says it’s small and comfortable, and most of the people are nice.
