Good evening Spartans,

I hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for an exciting week at the Home of Champions. A big thank you to our CARPE team who has worked tirelessly to help our Seniors complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Currently 177 seniors have completed the FAFSA and an additional 36 students have completed most of the application. That's just under 45% of our Senior class that have completed all of most of the FAFSA. Great job!

I also want to thank our teachers, staff and students, especially in our SCPA and ASB for putting together a spooktacular Halloween Pep Assembly. The performances were amazing and we even had a special guest appearance by Grupo Firme de Chula. I have included a link to the assembly video in case you didn't get a chance to watch it last week. I also included a poster of our guest performers so you can print it and pin it up on your wall.

Home of Champions!

Congratulations to our Varsity Football team for securing the outright Metro Pacific League Championship last Friday by defeating Castle Park with a score of 34 to 0. This is the first outright league championship for the Spartan football program since 2003. The Spartans will host Calexico this upcoming Friday at 7:00pm in the first round of the CIF Division IV Championship.

The CIFSD girls individual tennis championships are Monday, October 31. The following players qualified for the tournament: Tiffany Tapia (12), singles and Sequia Lewis (11), Vidaly Leon (11) doubles. Our first match begins at 2:30 at Balboa Tennis Club. Spectators are welcome.

Spartan Students we invite you to join Chula Vista High School's After School Programs! All programs are available for FREE! You can also stop by and have some fun at the Vault located in the Youth Center. The Vault has pool, air hockey, foosball, PS4, Switch, arcade games and more!!!!! **EVERYTHING IS FREE!!!!!!!**

Our morning hours will be from 7:15-8:15 AM (students will need to enter through Youth Center entrance at 465 L Street).

Our afternoon hours will be from 3:39-5:30 PM every day. We are also open during 7th/8th period for those students who are unscheduled.
