Veterans Day - NO SCHOOL, Friday November 11.
* Just a reminder that there is no school tomorrow, November 11. Please enjoy some family time and some reflection in honoring the Veterans of our great Country.
Today also brings the close of the 5 week Progress Report for the 2nd Quarter of the School year. Please check your child's Infinite Campus to stay up to date on your child's learning.

Winter Concert
Thursday, November 17
La Mesa bands and choir are hosting their winter concert next Thursday, November 17th @ 7:00pm in the La Mesa MPR. La Mesa and Golden Valley students have free entry with their school ID! The concert will feature nearly 140 students in our six unique ensembles performing a wide variety of selections from the classical, jazz, film, and popular traditions.
Cost for non-students is $5.

Color Rush
ASB it’s hosting Color rush day next Monday November 14th. Every team has an assigned color. The colors for the teams are:
Griffins are blue,
Matadors are green,
Falcons are yellow,
Dragons are orange,
Wolverines are White,
Tritons are red,
Wildcats are pink,
Panthers are black, and
Cougars are purple.
Students can come to school in their assigned color and show off their school spirit and then come to the stage at lunch to redeem spirit points for your team.

Parent Volunteers Needed: Career Speakers Series
Parents and Guardians! Would you like to share your passion for your profession with our students? We are seeking volunteers who can share about their career, a "day in the life" on the job, and answer student questions during our Tutorial sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mission - The mission of the La Mesa counseling department is to engage in a flexible learning community that positively impacts the lives of ALL students in a nurturing environment. To do this we collaborate with our stakeholders to provide support and advocate for ALL students in achieving their academic and personal goals. Working in coordination with our families, teachers, administrators, support staff and community members, we strive to cultivate equity and inclusivity for ALL students in their behavioral and mindset development.
