G W Harby Junior High - Oct 6th, 2023

No School on Monday!

Students have this Monday, October 9th, off from school! Teachers will be participating in Professional Learning off campus with their colleagues form across the district.

Harby Homecoming is has been rescheduled for October 24th

Due to the weather, the Harby Homecoming game has been rescheduled for October 24th, 2023. Students will participate in a pep rally at the of the school day where the band, dance team, cheer, and choir will perform. These special programs won't be performing at the game. The homecoming court winners will be announced during half time at the game. We hope to see lots of Hawks there!

The Book Fair has started!

The Book Fair will run through Thursday, Oct 12. Students will have the opportunity to visit during their Social Studies or ELA classes. Our Hawks will also have the opportunity to find their next favorite book before school from 8:05 am to 8:35 am.

Open House is October 12th at 5:15

The Harby Open House will be October 12th, 2023 starting at 5:15! We will be sharing Title 1 information, having student performance, providing parent resources, and displaying student work. Everyone is invited and we hope to see you there!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Students will have dress up days next week and Volleyball will be hosting a Pink Out game on October 12th!

Hawk PTO needs Volunteers!

Our Hawk PTO has been doing awesome things around campus! They can achieve even more with the support of caring parents like yourself. An act as small as selling concessions at a game goes a long way in helping our Hawks.

National Custodians Day was this week!

On Monday, October 2, the Harby Campus celebrated our Custodial Team with gifts for National Custodian's Day! We are so thankful for these hard working individuals who leave everything better than how they found it.

Fall Break is almost here!

Students will have a week off from school from October 16th to 20th! We hope that all our Hawks feel recharged after their Fall Break.

Congratulations to Brooke, Janessa, and Itamar for being selected as our Harby Hawks of the Week for 6th, 7th, & 8th grade! Brooke is very creative and outstanding leader. Janessa is very involved on campus, a hard worker, and dedicated young person. Ixtamar has been helping with setting up for buses each day. Great job, Hawks!
