Masking Indoors is Strongly Recommended
As COVID case rates throughout Santa Clara County are rising, wearing a mask indoors is strongly recommended. We ask all students, teachers and staff to consider wearing a mask indoors to prevent the spread of illness as we close out this amazing school year.
If you or your child feel sick, please stay home, notify the school office, and test immediately. Your child will need to be cleared before returning to school. Notify the school of a positive result. Thank you for your ongoing partnership to keep our schools safe and healthy.
Robb Elementary School Tragedy-Caregiver packet
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to you following another senseless tragedy. The recent mass shooting that occurred at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas has greatly affected and triggered our schools, parents, students, and community. Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services Department (BHSD) has developed a packet of information and resources to help during this time for families and staff.
The packet includes: (click here to see packet)
Information and Guidelines for helping students/children after mass violence
Tips for helping school-age children with traumatic grief
Age related reactions to traumatic events
Restoring a sense of safety
Information on helping children heal
Coping skills
List of contact information for crisis support, behavioral health services, and resources
Additionally, our County Contracted Partners (CCPs) providing School Linked Services School Based Behavioral Health programs through the Prevention and Early Intervention program and/or SLS Behavioral Health, as well as BHSD can be available to provide presentations for parents, students, school faculty, and community, drop-in supports, support groups, etc. Please reach out to your school district’s CCP(s) or BHSD for supports and services. More information and supports will be shared with you as BHSD and our partners are collaboratively identifying additional resources.

LOVE LOS ALTOS: [LOS ALTOS DISTRICT WIDE NEWS & LAEF UPDATES]
Thank you, Principal Rafferty, Santa Rita PTA leadership, teachers, office staff, and parents for supporting LAEF this school year and helping raise over $2.8M for LASD schools.
Together, we funded Santa Rita teachers and staff for STEM, computer science, PE, art, music, library, and mental health counseling services. Your efforts directly impacted the quality of each Santa Rita student’s education this school year. We hope you have a nice summer.
