Weekly Update

The Eagles have 16 individual events and 6 relays qualified for NJSIAA Individual Meet of Champions held March 4th-5th at GCIT.

Mike Simeon and Ahmad Fogg competed at the Eastern State Championship meet at the NYC Armory on Monday night. Mike finished in 10th place in the Shot Put and Ahmad Fogg finished 9th place in the Long Jump.

Best of luck to Vincent Faldetta (138lbs) and Tyler Thomas (113 Lbs) as they move on to states in Atlantic City this weekend.

On Tues, Feb 28th our boys basketball team made school history and became South Jersey Group 4 Champions when they won against Lenape High School 41-36.

Last night (March 2nd) our boys' basketball team played in the NJSIAA Group 4 semi final at Central Regional High School. They competed against Trenton Central High School and had an exciting win with a score of 56-51.

Next up: Our team will play in the 2023 NJSIAA Group 4 State Final at Rutgers University on Saturday - March 4th at 5pm. Tickets are available online. Please see link below for ticket info and the livestream link.

Registration for High School Spring Sports is open! You do not need a physical to register, but you must have one to be cleared. Please note that it can take 7-10 days from the date your physical forms are uploaded to your registration for a student to be cleared. The deadline for Spring Sports is March 1st! The Fernwood Volleyball team got off to a great start last night by defeating Galloway 3 games to 1. The Eagles got off to a quick lead and never looked back by playing some great defense, solid serving and attacking offensively. Fantastic team effort all around. Great job everyone!

Finally, boys basketball has left it all on the courts this week. On Tuesday night, they won against Lenape making them the Group 4 South Sectional Champs. Then on Thursday night, they beat Trenton High School to advance to the state finals at Rutgers on Saturday night at 5 pm. Tickets for adults will be sold ONLINE ONLY through the Rutgers University box office for adults. Students may purchase tickets at the door for $3. Parking is $15 per car.
