Girl Scout Troop 19032 will be on hand to collect your glass recycling at Brookwood Elementary's S.T.E.M. Nights on February 3rd & 4th. The troop is learning about leaving our footprint on the Earth. In a recycling initiative with their Community Scientist badge, you are invited to bring your glass products with you to STEM Night. Please place your glass recyclables in the designated containers outside the school entrance. Help us see how we can make a difference!

We are so excited to kick off the Kids Heart Challenge at BES to raise money for the American Heart Association to raise awareness for heart disease and help those that need it to have a healthy heart. We will be taking ONLINE ONLY donations this year. Please review the Kids Heart Challenge flyer - it has all of the information you need. We would LOVE for everyone to go online and register - it is FREE and your child will receive a cool wrist band just for registering. We need your assistance in completing the Georgia Parent Survey for the 2019 - 2020 school year. This survey is designed to measure your perceptions of Brookwood Elementary School and is a part of our school climate rating for the state CCRPI score. The survey should only take 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and your responses are confidential.
The survey is completed online at the Georgia Department of Education's Parent Survey website.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be back in February! Volunteers are need to help students as they browse and shop the fair. For each book fair shift worked, you will receive a $5 gift certificate good toward book purchases. Thank you for your help! PTA will once again be hosting Mother & Son Fun Night at Gravity Indoor Trampoline Park on Thursday, February 6th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Brookwood Elementary boys are invited to bring their mom or special friend. Please go to the PTA website to RSVP and fill out waiver forms for jumpers prior to the event.

Students in grades 4-12 interested in attending GOC full time for 2020-21 must complete the registration process during the month of February. Interested families are encouraged to attend an open house and tour at the school’s campus at 10 a.m. on Jan. 28, Jan. 29, Jan. 30, Feb. 11, Feb. 12, or Feb. 13. An informational meeting is set for Feb. 26, 6:30-7:30 p.m., or check out informational videos online. Once a grade level is full, a waiting list will be established. GOC does not offer mid-year enrollment.

The PTA Daddy Daughter Dance will be Friday, February 21st in the Brookwood High School Commons. Brookwood Elementary girls are invited to bring their dad, uncle, grandpa, or other special friend. For more information and to purchase tickets, click on the picture below or go to the PTA website.

Run the Reagan is an annual community event which features a half marathon, 10k, 5k, and 1 mile Fun Run race down Ronald Reagan Parkway. Proceeds from the race will go to benefit the Lilburn Co-op and the Brookwood Schools Foundation.

Our school will receive $5 for each participant who registers and joins our team. Join the Brookwood Elementary School team at the Run the Reagan Race Roster website.

The GCPS Book Mobile gets books in the hands of Gwinnett County students. During the school year, the Book Mobile has helped 55,000 books go home with students to build their personal libraries. During the summer, it serves as a mobile library and visits areas where students do not have access to books. The program has a positive impact on our communities, improves literacy, and provides an unforgettable experience for children.

Each year, the GCPS Book Mobile holds the Book Mobile 5K to raise money to purchase new books for the Book Mobile program. The 2020 Book Mobile 5K will be held on May 2nd at Pinckneyville Middle School. You may register to participate in the Book Mobile 5K at the GCPS Book Mobile website.

Bronco Aces gives the opportunity for local elementary and middle school students to
participate in three Tennis Fun Days where they will get a chance to receive instruction from the Brookwood Tennis Coaches as well as the Brookwood JV and Varsity tennis teams. The Bronco Aces Tennis Fun Days are scheduled for three consecutive Sundays in February and March: February 23rd, March 1st, and March 8th.
