Prayer & 9/11
In 2009, a presidential proclamation declared that Patriot Day is also a "National Day of Service." The proclamation calls on Americans to "participate in community service in honor of those our Nation lost, to observe this day with other ceremonies and activities, including remembrance services ... to honor the innocent victims who perished as a result of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001."

CATECHESIS
Engaging the Mystery (Videos) Produced by the Diocese of St. Cloud, this series consists of 15 short videos (8 to 10 min. ea.) that carefully walk through the Mass to unpack the theological and historical gems contained in both the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Teaching Tuesday Videos These are short (1-2 minute) videos that would be great for use with students or staff, and they could be shared on social media for the wider school community.
ACTIVITIES & EXPERIENCES
ADSF Faith Formation Conference, 11/4/23
Come engage in your life as catechists, parish catechetical leaders, volunteers, and Catholic people in the Archdiocese of San Francisco as we celebrate our Eucharistic Revival with the theme “Talitha Koum” – Mark 5:41
We are challenged in these times to arise and bring Christ’s light to our darkness, words of comfort to sorrowing, peace in places of violence and to witness our baptismal call.
As Jesus asks that bread be given to the little girl may we find nourishment in the Eucharist to go out and be better disciples of Jesus – bread broken and shared.

Sunday Gospel Challenges - Living Our Faith
Justice Challenge - September 10, 2023 • 23rd Week in Ordinary Time
Sunday’s first reading from Ezekiel has the prophet challenging us to confront those who do wrong. Jesus follows in the Gospel with a similar message. Often when we hear or see racism, greed, or other actions which deny people their human dignity, we remain silent. We don’t want to rock the boat or draw attention to ourselves. Your challenge this week is to be prophetic. When you hear someone putting down a person, a cultural or ethnic community, or whomever, speak the Gospel truth and challenge the offender to remember Jesus’ example of treating everyone with dignity because we are all created in God’s own image and likeness.
Care for Creation Tips - September 10, 2023 • 23rd Week in Ordinary Time
“Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.” —Romans 13:10
Out of sight, out of mind. It can be so easy to trash something or pour something down the drain that will hurt someone or something else “downstream” because we forget that everyone downstream is a neighbor too. What items do you use or improperly dispose of that cause harm after they’ve left your sight? This week, look up your local hazardous waste organization to determine how to safely dispose of paint, batteries, e-waste, motor oil, medicines, etc.
