Happy Administrative Professionals Week!
This week is Administrative Professionals Appreciation Week, and we are thrilled to honor both Jessie and Kimberly in the Bridgewater Office! Both of them are full of energy and happiness greeting children and adults each and every day. I appreciate both of them and enjoy watching them make a child's day by doing a happy dance with them or giving them a smile with a hug when needed. We are so fortunate to have them on our team!!!

Students of the Week
Zoe Robinson is new to Bridgewater this year, but you wouldn't know it! From day one she has fit right in and has been a friend to all. Zoe starts each day with a warm smile and a kind greeting to everyone she encounters. She is extremely hard working and takes her academics seriously. Zoe is responsible, reliable and very creative. Her fun personality adds a lot to our classroom community and we are so happy she's here!
Dayton Knight is a strong performer on and off the ice/field. He is quiet, but don't underestimate all that he can accomplish at the hockey rink, on the baseball field and in the classroom. Dayton cares about doing his best and shows that everyday by getting his work done and pushing himself academically and physically. He has strong friendships because he's trustworthy, loyal and an all around fun kid to be around. We appreciate his internal motivation and how he leads by being a role model. Keep up the great work!

Note from Nurse Lucy
As a school nurse this is exciting news. I just found out yesterday from a parent, and called today to confirm that Cub Pharmacy does rapid strep tests without an appointment. The pharmacist I spoke to said that they cannot bill insurance for the test, ($30.00) but if it is positive, they can give you a prescription and insurance can be billed for that. She said it is a 10-15 minute wait to get the results. You do not need to schedule an appointment and it can be done during any of the hours they are open.
In the past 2 weeks we have had 13 cases of confirmed strep (and I wonder how many other kids are walking around feeling miserable, as it "runs its course"). This is great news since Urgent Care has very limited hours and it is sometimes difficult to get into a clinic the same day symptoms occur.
Stay well!
