• September 5th is Freshman Only Day. Freshman will get their picture taken for their ID card during the day.
• September 6th is All Grades! Sophomores through Seniors will get their picture taken for their student IDs during the day.
• SENIORS!! Please remember to get your picture taken as we use this photo for any social media posts and your ID!
• Open Campus forms can still be turned into the front office. Open campus will be closed the first week of school, so please plan to have lunch at school!
• Parking passes are $25 and can be purchased in the front office.

With SchoolPay (See attached SchoolPay Parent Guide), you may pay all of your child/children’s fees and add monies to their food service account in one transaction. Regardless of the amount of this transaction, you will only be charged a $1.50 transaction fee. You may still pay with check or cash by mailing or dropping off your money at your child’s school. (See attached school contact information)

Our goal is to allow you to complete all of these tasks on your schedule. You do NOT have to come to school. You will need to have your username and password and will only be able to login to Skyward Family Access using your account information, not your child’s account information. If you do not know your account information, click the “Forgot your Login/Password?” link on the Skyward Family Access webpage. An email will be sent to you with the reset information. (Only the primary family can complete all the information and forms. The secondary family can only update their information.)

Student schedules will be available in Skyward on August 14th once you have completed and submitted the Annual Online Data Review for your child.

If you have not used Skyward Family Access before, here is how you access the site.

1. Go to the www.shawanoschools.com website.

2. Click the Skyward Family Access button under the pictures on the main page.

3. Enter the user name and password. After you are successfully logged in, you may change your user login information.

4. Click the “Annual Online Data Review” button and click your child’s name to start the process.

5. All forms and demographic updates need to be completed by Sept 8, 2023.

6. If you want to purchase the iPad Self Insurance, this payment is due by October, 2, 2023.

We are here to help. If you have any questions, please contact your child's school directly. The Shawano School District’s Welcome Center and Enrollment Services office, located at 1050 S. Union Street inside Shawano Community Middle School, is also available for assistance. Families of all district students may be served at our Welcome Center office. Hours are from 8AM to 3 PM or by appointment.

Please complete the Annual Online Data Review as soon as possible. Thank you for your assistance.

As students and families complete their yearly demographic information through Skyward, students will have access to their new schedule. Here's a couple notes on the new schedule:

1.) Study Halls, Hawk Time and Lunches have not been inserted into the schedule yet. This will be complete by August 29th (Back-to-School Night).

2.) You will see that we've added a period 9/10 to the schedule this year. This was to simplify the lunch block into periods 6/7/8. Lunch periods will now be split into two of these three periods.

a.) Students will either have lunch 6th period (with class being 7/8).

or

b.) Students will have a split block with class starting during period 6, they will then go to lunch period 7 and then go back to class for period 8.

c.) There are a few days on the calendar in which school lets out at 11:45. On these days students will go to their full 6/7/8 class period with no lunch split. A grab-and-go lunch will be provided on these days after the 9/10 period as students leave.

• iPad Insurance has been added to your students skyward.
• Payments are due October 2nd

• We are really looking forward to this school year and all the wonderful things our staff will be doing with our students. Our Sponsor the Hawk Staff Lounge program is an opportunity for parents and community to show their appreciation for our wonderful staff. The Hawk Lounge is a space where our staff take a break and nourish their body and mind. If you would like to sponsor the Hawk Staff Lounge by providing nourishment/treats. • Backpacks and Hats are to stay in your school locker during school hours
• Cell Phones are to be kept in your locker during school hours. Only Used between Classes and during Lunch
