As an update to the communication, we were recently informed by the PA State Police/Pennsylvania Criminal Intelligence Center (PaCIC) that on 09/26/2023, a Peruvian national was arrested in Lima, Peru, related to making hoax bomb threats to more than 150 school districts, synagogues, airports, hospitals, and a shopping mall between 09/15/2023 and 09/21/2023. Klinger Alum Returns as Student Teacher

Centennial alumni Dennis Grabert, class of 2018, has come full circle as he returned to the classroom of his former 7th-grade social studies teacher, Mrs. Vicki Buzan, but this time, as her student teacher. Dennis is currently a student at Gwynedd Mercy University where he majors in History and Secondary Education. He is currently in the home stretch to a December 2023 graduation following his semester at Klinger Middle School. Making Sure Kids Eat Every Day of the Week

Special thanks to Magic Meals for their continued support of Willow Dale's weekend food pack program, Puma Packs. Puma Packs support students who suffer from food inequity. Our team works to identify children in need to ensure they have access to healthy food each weekend. Giant Supermarket generously donated $1,000 to MAGIC Meals to support our Pumas. MAGIC Meals has provided over 3,000 meals to Willow Dale students through this partnership! We are so thankful for community support!

Willow Dale's Back to School Picnic

Willow Dale's 2023 Back to School Picnic had a great turnout with beautiful weather. Fun was had by all with plenty of hamburgers, hot dogs, Kona Ice, snacks, and drinks. Such a great way to kick off the school year!

BINGO!

Log College's 6th Grade students turned out in big numbers to participate in Log's annual Musical BINGO event. Students checked off popular songs on their cards as opposed to the traditional method. A fun time was had by all!

STEM Students lend a helping hand

Students from STEM class were practicing using drills/drivers, when the Family Consumer Science (FCS) classroom needed hooks installed to hang chef coats. The students screwed the hooks into the wood, then leveled and installed the hooks in the FCS room.

Willow Dale's Multicultural Family Night

Willow Dale Elementary School held its FIRST Multicultural Family Night on Thursday, September 28, 2023. We were so grateful to have food and cultural representations from places such as: Jamaica, China, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nigeria, Mexico, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Morocco, India, and the Dominican Republic. We spent the night enjoying rich cultural dishes, dancing to cultural music from the represented countries, and learning about everyone’s history.

In addition to music and cultural dishes, we had Title 1 Math and Reading games, book giveaways, and provided families with information to navigate the Centennial School District through support with WIDA Score information, accessing Skyward, navigating the new Standards-Based Report Card, how to download the new CSD Mobile App, and even provide families with information to support students academically at home. This night also was made successful with the help of CSD staff representing Human Resources, the Food Pantry at McDonald, the Klinger Farmer’s Market, our Social Workers and our Community Liaison. Community Partnerships were also present through our WD Home and School Association and the Warminster Library. Also, a special thanks to our William Tennent students who volunteered to support our event. This event showed all of the tremendous assets in our Willow Dale community, and absolutely reminded us that, “We are more alike than we think”, and that we absolutely are, “Better Together!” We are already looking forward to holding this event again next year!

Please remember, families do have the option to opt their student(s) out of the student survey.

Each year, more and more people and organizations are turning to our District to help get the message out about various activities, events, fundraisers, etc. The intent of this process is to support student achievement and to provide mutual assistance and benefit through shared information. Our district spends a great deal of time collecting, reviewing, and posting flyers to the District eFolder. The District no longer is posting eFlyers to any social media outlets or the District cable channel. You may refer to Policy 913 for additional information.
