Week of April 3rd-7th
I can't believe we are already in the first week of April and have Spring Break next week! Friday will be a school holiday since we do not have to make up any inclement weather days this year.
Please complete both our Climate Survey and Leader in Me Surveys to help us celebrate areas of strength and identify areas of growth at CWE.
Thank you for your continued efforts to aid in reducing tardies. Doors open at 7:15 each day and students are considered tardy if they are not seated when the bell rings at 8:00.
Officer Young will continue to be at the door motioning for parents to come inside and sign-in their student(s) for late arrival. Please plan to pull forward, park, and enter the building if you arrive after 8:00 AM. Please contact the front office with any questions.
Check out the dates below as we plan for our last nine weeks of school!

April Habit of the Month: Habit 7 Sharpen the Saw
Sharpen the Saw means to have balance in your life.
There is a story of a man who was sawing down a tree and not making a lot of progress. When a passerby asked him why he didn’t stop sawing to sharpen his saw, he remarked that he was too busy sawing.
Habit 7 reminds us that we are more productive when we are in balance – body, brain, heart and soul. Just like the four tires on a car, if one area is being ignored or overused, the rest will feel the results.
For young children, the car analogy is one they understand; a car could not go on fewer than all four tires. Explain the four parts of each person (body, brain, heart, and soul) and how important it is to take care of each part to make them all work better.
Balance Feels Best
I take care of my body by eating right, exercising, and getting sleep. I spend time with family and friends. I learn in lots of ways and lots of places, not just at school. I find meaningful ways to help others.
And as always...LEARN LIKE A CHAMPION!
