Busy Bees
Many of you attended our in-person Open House on September 15th for grades 1-5. Teachers and various service providers were in attendance to share their programs and the expectations for this year. It was a successful evening and we encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.
Over the past couple of weeks, we have been having regular assemblies teaching students behavioral expectations in our school following our 3 "Bee Rules": Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible. We reviewed these rules in different areas such as our playground, hallways, school bus and bathrooms. This past week, we concluded with a school parade and a finale to once again show all that was learned. Take a look at the pictures to see some of the fun from our parade!
September is almost over, but opportunities for community involvement will continue into October. Bring Your Family to PE Week will take place during your child's PE class from October 3rd - October 7th. Our annual Apple Run will be a part of this fun! We hope you're able to participate with your child and our PE team.
Have a great week!
Parent Pickup
If you are picking up your child for an early dismissal, please send in a note in advance so we can be prepared. This is especially true at the end of the day when we have a large number of families picking up students. (Families who have been picking up on a regular basis since the beginning of the year do not need to send in a daily note unless there is a change.)
Also, please note that the time for STUDENT DISMISSAL for parent pickup is 3:20 pm M-Th and 2:50 pm on Friday. Families are encouraged to arrive a few minutes earlier to sign out their child prior to students being sent down by teachers at the noted times.
As always, bus transportation is optional but encouraged. Thank you!

DISTRICT-WIDE EMERGENCY EARLY RELEASE DRILL- FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7
All schools in New York State must complete an emergency early release drill, once per year, that requires us to evacuate our students and staff at least 15-minutes before their regular dismissal time. This drill helps prepare us in the case of an emergency that would require us to transport our entire district home or to another location prior to the end of the school day.
AWB: Students who get picked up will be released at 2:35 p.m., and students who take the bus will be dismissed at 2:45 p.m. If you are picking your child up at dismissal, please send a note in to their teacher. Please remember that students will be getting home early. For students in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten, someone does need to be home to greet them when they get off the bus. The after-school program at each elementary will be held.
Additionally, the entire district will be closed on Monday, October 10, for the federal holiday.
