Community Crew News #27
February 25th, 2024
Greetings Conway Community!
It's a wrap! Conway hosted 60 educators from across the country, and also included local leaders from our neighboring EUSD schools, at our two day Expeditionary Learning Site Seminar.
Educators arrived ready to learn, and excited to meet students and staff. They left inspired, grateful, and ready to take back their learning to their home sites. Our EPIC school changed the course of their work and their lives by showing up for them with excellence, perseverance, integrity, compassion, authenticity, and deep humanity.
Our visitors experienced student and teacher panels. Student led conferences, our Crew Celebration, ad Ambassador tour, teacher lead professional learning, Dens, and exceptional teaching and learning during classroom visits. Our Crew showed up with a deep commitment to our school vision and and our students. Crew, you were the epitome of our motto, We are Crew, not passengers. The immense gratitude expressed by our guests was testament of everyones' deep commitment to our vision for creating the type of school our community deserves. Messages of gratitude continued to come in throughout the weekend and I hope that all of you know that each and everyone's hands, hearts, and minds created this exceptional experience for all our EL friends.
Immense Gratitude to our families!
Our families also showed up to welcome our guests. Thank you to all our families that fed us all on Thursday. You showed up with bounds of food, home cooked main dishes, desserts, and loving hearts and hands for us all. We cannot do this work without our entire Community Crew. Crew, you all all the epitome of our motto, We are Crew, not passengers. The immense gratitude expressed by our guests was testament of everyones' deep commitment to our EPIC school. Messages of gratitude continue to come in throughout the weekend and I hope that all of you know that each and everyone's hands, hearts, and minds created this exceptional experience for all our EL friends.
Our guests contributed to our rock gardens by creating a special rock for them to leave a little bit of themselves behind in gratitude.
End of Trimester 2
