Grade Level and Department NEWS
Kindergarten: Hello Kindergarten family, This week in Kindergarten we will be discussing Christmas. We will be learning about the letter Gg-Letterland Character-Golden Girl, -ig word family, reviewing shape sphere and cube, making numbers to 10, adding numbers within 10 . Our Christmas party will be Thursday, December 15, please send in the items for the party by Tuesday, December 13. Please continue to work with your student at home on blending sounds to make words (CVC words) sight words, counting and reading each nightly. Thank you for all you do for our students. Reminder: This week is also Spirit Week, refer to the flier that was sent home. There is a theme each day.
First Grade: Hello from First Grade! Please be reminded of our Christmas Spirit Week which takes place next week!
Continue to study sight words. If your child has not mastered the first 2 sets, please work on them as well as the 3rd set. The newest set is on the December newsletter.
There will be no spelling words the week of December 12-16.
Second Grade: Greetings from Second Grade! Christmas Spirit Week is next week. Students will be participating in fun activities. Students will continue to learn how Christmas is celebrated around the world and how some of those traditions have shaped American culture. Continue to read each night, practice math facts, and study sight words. There will be no spelling words given next week. Have a great Christmas Break!

Library:Kindergarten families, we will begin checking out library books when we return from Christmas! Enjoy the holiday season and expect more information after the new year, about library book care!
Music: Tiger Troupe had two wonderful performances of “The Littlest Christmas Tree”. Our last practice and “reflective session” was Wednesday morning. Another amazing Tiger Troupe year is finished! The Music Room website has videos and pictures of programs this year and classroom activities! It can be located on the Williamston Primary School website.
