This morning we honored five students who graduated from our English Second Language program this morning. It is so hard to come into a school knowing little to no English. Learning a new community and language is overwhelming and even scary at times. These incredible students stayed focused, determined and have persevered through and we could not be prouder of their accomplishment. Congratulations!

Lost and Found

Please ask your child to be sure to check our Lost and Found. We have accumulated many coats, hats, gloves, sweatshirts - you name it! We want to make sure everyone is able to retrieve their belongings.

We will be donating all the items to Sowing Seeds on Friday, June 2. This is the last opportunity to take a peek!

The Marshfield Public Schools are pleased to announce the availability of one free lunch daily for every student in Marshfield through June 2023.

Nurse's Corner

Health Records: Please be sure that your child's health / immunization record is up to date- by sending in the most recent copy of your child's physical exam. All students in 4th grade are required to provide this documentation per state mandate, if you have not so already - please forward a copy to school.

Medication Returns by June 13 :

Please plan ahead---if your child has medication stored at school- it needs to be picked up at school by an adult. The last day of school is June 13 and dismissal is at 11:35.

Best Practice Protocol is to not send medication into school or return home with children. Parents/ Guardians should make arrangements with Nurse Mudge to retrieve medication in person.

Nutrition Please be sure your child eats a good healthy breakfast each day before coming to school. and brings a healthy snack for a midday break.

Hydration is very important to a successful day, please be sure your child brings a water bottle to school each day- preferably one that is easy to refill at our touchless refill station here at school.

The weather and temperatures can change quickly - so please be sure that your child is dressed accordingly, dressing in layers to accommodate cooler or warmer climates is advisable.

CHECK FOR TICKS: After children come in from playing outside it is very important to check for Ticks. In addition to inspecting ankles and head/ hair- they also tend to land and then migrate to other areas, so also check behind the ears, and creases of elbows and behind the knees.

Library News

This week in the library we read "Wilma Jean The Worry Machine" written by Julia Cook. In this story, Wilma Jean, a young girl who experiences a lot of worries in her day to day life, learns different
tools to feel more in control of her worries. This fun and humorous story helped enrich our discussions about the importance of taking care of ourselves.
