East Butler "Board Brief"

The East Butler Public School Board held a special board meeting on Monday, September 25th, 2023 to approve the 2023-2024 school budget and tax request.

In order to enhance the school district's communication with the community, this new section in the East Butler "Board Brief" will provide factual information for all constituents.

• The new video/score board required the use of tax payer dollars for the purchase and installation of this item.

FACT

• The new video/score board was purchased through donations from area businesses. (AKRS, BCHCC, Bank of the Vally, First Nebraska Bank, Roots to Shoots, Timpte, and Jones Brothers). Thank you to those sponsors!!!! Make sure you plan to attend an event in the gym, to check out the new board!!!

• There are library books within our school library, that should be removed, and the administration will not allow them to be removed.

FACT

• The school board has implemented a policy for the review of appropriate library books. Any book that is deemed to be inappropriate for students is removed by the administration and school board.

• The school's five-year facility plan is more of a wish list than an actual plan.

• As evidenced by the five-year plan, the public will notice that there are specific items within this plan that address a variety of district needs. Please reference the plan below.
