A Fond Farewell from Your Career Center Specialist 🍂📚
Dear Hornets, Staff, and Families, 🐝
As I write this message, it comes with a mix of emotions. This will be my final communication with you all, as a new chapter in my career is about to begin.
A New Journey Awaits 🌟🛤
I'm thrilled to share that I have recently completed my Master of Science in Public Safety Administration and am on the verge of wrapping up my second Master's in Project Management and Operations. This academic journey has opened the doors to an incredible opportunity outside of Enumclaw School District.
Looking Back with Gratitude 🙏💭
Joining Enumclaw High School in September 2018, I came with a keen desire to serve this wonderful community, fresh from my experiences working with incarcerated students. The years here have been nothing short of enriching and enlightening.
Moving Forward with Memories 🚀📖
Though I'm stepping into a new professional phase, the memories and experiences I've gathered at Enumclaw HS will forever be a part of me. The interactions with students and their families have been deeply meaningful, and saying goodbye is not easy.
Thank You for the Journey 🛣️🤝
I want to express my deepest gratitude to each one of you for being an integral part of my journey here. The lessons learned and the moments shared will always hold a special place in my heart.
As I move forward, I carry with me the memories of Enumclaw High School and all the incredible Hornets I’ve had the pleasure to work with.
Wishing you all continued success and happiness.
Warm regards,

Scholarships and Financial Aid
Financial Aid! 💰📚
Starting this year, applying for Financial Aid is easier! The application has been reduced from 108 questions to less than 50🥳‼️
Busting Financial Aid Myths! 💥
"Too Much Family Income?" Nope, income is just one piece of the puzzle. 🧩
"Bad Grades = No Aid?" Wrong! High School grades don't block your Financial Aid road. 🛣️
"Not a US Citizen?" No worries! Financial Aid is for US Citizens and eligible Non-citizens. 🌍
"One-time Application?" No. It's an annual affair, from October 1 to June 30, every year. 📆
“Financial Aid is just for 4-year Colleges/Universities?🏫 Not true. Financial aid is available for trade schools, community colleges, skills centers and more.
Financial Aid Application Open Date is almost here!
Due to the changes in Financial Aid, the application opens in December 2023 instead of its usual date of October 1.📅
Yearly Application Timeline 📱
This Year: Apply between December 2023 and June 30, 2024 for aid covering July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025 : Make sure to select 2024-2025 application not 2023-2024.
Next Year: Apply from October 1, 2024 for aid covering July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026
Rinse and Repeat🔁! Keep reapplying every year you're in school to receive financial aid each year you are in college, trade school, or other educational facilities.
FAFSA vs. WASFA: Know the Difference! 🤔
FAFSA: Federal aid for grants (free money!) and loans (payback time!).
WASFA: Washington State’s own Financial Aid, for those ineligible for federal funding. DO NOT APPLY for WASFA without talking to your financial aid department, you must be disqualified from FAFSA first.
Let's Talk Financial Responsibility 💸🤝
Financial Aid isn't just about loans. It can also provide grants (hello, free money!) that you don’t have to pay back. Plus, it opens doors to thousands of scholarships.
What Does Financial Aid Cover? 🎒🏠
Think tuition, housing, books, some fees, meal plans, and more.
Loans: Choose Wisely 🧐
Our advice? Hunt down as many scholarships as you can to reduce the loans you'll need. Remember, you’re in the driver's seat—you decide how much or how little of the loan to use.
