Principal's Message
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
As we wrap up two weeks of Family Teacher Conferences I am full of gratitude for our joyful and engaged community. It has been so nice to welcome families into the building for both conferences and for our Fall Book Fair. We had over 90% of our families participate! Our teachers and staff have loved connecting with all of you, and we recognize that children succeed when school and family partnerships are strong.
On that note, we have started to open up a few family volunteer opportunities. See the PTO notes below for more in depth descriptions of our current needs. I am anticipating that we will offer a volunteer training in the next few weeks for families who are interested in volunteering in our classrooms and that teachers will reach out with their specific needs in November.
I hope that you enjoy the long weekend and the bright fall colors!
Warmly,
Amanda

Hello Eagle Crest Families!
One of the organizations that supports schools in SVVSD is the St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation. They organize and fund our Crayons to Calculators program which provides our families in need with backpacks and supplies each year. They also fund Teacher Innovation Grants which help fund technology in our Garage or other teacher projects for their classrooms. Additionally, they help us recognize our wonderful teachers with their Teacher of the Year nominations and celebrations.
In turn, we support the Education Foundation by creating a Silent Auction Basket for their annual Gala. This year we are working together with the PTO to create our basket and we could use your help to fill it. The theme for our basket will be LOCOal Snow Day, a basket of Longmont goods that will get you through a cold day. We are looking for items like hot chocolate, mugs, local food/gift items or services that fit the theme. The Gala is coming up soon on November 5th. If you can help out with this project, check out this Sign-Up Genius or contact Lynette Roth at lynnette.m.roth@gmail.com.
As always, thank you for supporting our school and the organizations that help make Eagle Crest a great school to learn and grow!
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney

Halloween Parade
We are looking forward to our annual Halloween Parade! We are planning to host our parade on Monday, October 31st at 2:15pm. The students will make a full lap around the school in their costumes while we all celebrate the return of this fun tradition. All families are welcome to join us as we march outside around the school.
All students are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to school and should plan to arrive with the full costume on and ready to go. Costumes must be school appropriate and not interfere with the learning environment. Please do not send students with anything violent (weapons, blood, etc.), or costumes that could be a safety hazard since we will be marching. Blow up costumes and masks can only be worn during the parade. Individual teachers will send information home regarding classroom celebrations.

Lunch Menu & Color Day Schedule
The October Schedule is below!
Add Money to your Child’s School Breakfast & Lunch Account
MySchoolBucks is the website you want to access in order to add funds to your child’s account for purchasing breakfast, lunch, or milk at school. This system will send you reminders and can manage the account of multiple students. Money can also be sent to school by check or cash. Please label any checks or cash with the students first name, last name, and teacher.
If you haven’t yet, you can apply for Free & Reduced meals to see if your family qualifies for free meals. Applying for Free & Reduced lunch will help manage fees (like iPad Insurance or sports) and also helps our school receive additional funds and services. We encourage all families to complete the application.
