FULLER FAMILY NEWS

From the Principal's Desk
Hello Fuller Family!
Student safety is our top priority at Fuller Elementary, and we want to take a moment to address some important safety concerns during arrival and dismissal. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a secure environment for everyone.
Please be mindful of parking along the streets during drop-off and pick-up times. It has come to our attention that some students are being put at risk as they disembark from vehicles due to passing traffic. We've received reports of incidents on Quicksilver, where students opening car doors have had close encounters with passing vehicles. Let's work together to make sure our children are safe by avoiding dropping students off at the curb, and please use the car line.
Respect for our neighborhood is crucial. Remember that people in the community will be entering and leaving their homes during arrival and dismissal times. We kindly ask that you refrain from blocking driveways or streets. Our car lines are designed to be fast and efficient, so we encourage everyone to join the car line instead of creating potential hazards for yourself and others.
Now, onto some exciting upcoming events at Fuller Elementary:
- December 11th: PTO Meeting at 6:30 PM
- December 13th: Chick-Fil-A Spirit Day
- December 14th: Campus Art Show at 5:00 PM and 4th Grade Concert at 6:00 PM
Additionally, we have some fun dress-up days planned over the next few weeks. Please refer to the attached flyer for more details.
Let's continue to foster a sense of community and safety at Fuller Elementary. Your cooperation and attention to these matters make a significant difference.
Remember, We are Fuller, We are Family!

ATTENDANCE
Here at Fuller, our campus wide attendance goal is 96%.
During the first nine weeks of school, five grade levels met or exceeded the campus' attendance goal.
Here at Fuller, we will continue to recognize attendance, engage students and families, monitor attendance data, provide early outreach and respond to barriers of attendance.
Families, please remember a habit of attendance is a school readiness skill. If your child is going to be absent, please notify your child's classroom teacher and our campus registrar sharrison@aubreyisd.net.
PARENT/DOCTORS NOTES- Please be sure you emails regarding absences to sharrison@aubreyisd.net. You may also drop a hard copy of a parent or doctor's note in the front office. Parents, please email notes to Mrs. Harrison as well so that she can document absences as they occur. Once we come back from break, we will not be able to access semester 1 to adjust attendance. Thank you.

Arrival and Dismissal
*** Bikers must walk their bikes across crosswalks and on school property ***
We also ask that bike riders walk their bikes when on campus for safety of all.
Thank you for your attention to this.
Dismissal Issue
When the cars park in the red marked areas, vehicles exiting the car line cannot exit safely without coming out in the street. So to prevent any accidents, I will be placing 6 cones in the area. I have suggested to parents who parked there, to pull up to the school zone sign and park there.
I have included a map of the location with "NO PARKING IN RED AREAS" on the map.
Important Information
- Anyone entering the building MUST be prepared to show ID BEFORE entering
- IDs or car tags will be checked at dismissal for car and walk ups.
- Please label all jackets, lunch boxes, and water bottles.

Attendance
Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance.
A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.
In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.
