Patriot Peek at the Week News

It is spring! Students are enjoying playing outside during recess and PE. The temperatures from one day to the next can be drastically different. Please plan accordingly by dressing your child in layers or making sure they have a jacket available for those cold mornings. Layers and jackets also mean an increase of items in our lost and found at Wolf Ridge. Please encourage your child to claim his/her lost items or come to the school office to check out the lost and found yourself. We are teaching responsibility each day to our students, but we can all use a reminder now and then. I hope you and your family are also enjoying spring with family activities outdoors. If you are able, try to do something to help the Earth in honor of Earth Day on April 22nd. I hope you all have a happy weekend.

Both kindergarten classrooms raised money for special Earth Day activities. They were able to take a field trip to our local park to pick up trash (and play, of course). They were also able to purchase a flowering tree for our center circle. The tree was planted today!

I am sure many of you read Superintendent Dugan's letter announcing that we will have unified colors and mascot for the entire school district starting this next school year. This will be the last year for the Wolf Ridge Patriots and our blue and gold colors. We will all be BH Minutemen and Minutemaids with red and black colors in the fall. In order to prepare, I have set up an online fan gear store with the Cubby Hole. Did you know that you can still participate in the COLOR RUN?

You can sign up at anytime! You can even sign up the morning of the race.

While you are not guaranteed a t-shirt, you can still have fun running or walking with friends.
