Principal's Message

Sunny Heights Families,

The weather this week reminded us that it is still winter! A reminder to be sure that students have coats, hats, and gloves or mittens as they come to school. We want all of our students to be safe and warm whenever they are outside.

This Thursday is our Family Literacy Night at Sunny Heights Elementary! We invite all families to visit our school from 5:30 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 13th. We will have snacks, games, giveaways, books, and other reading resources. We will be hosting an IREAD3 Information presentation at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria for parents and guardians of any 3rd grade students taking IREAD3 this spring. Flyers were sent home with student today. We look forward to another great evening with families.

FRIENDSHIP CANDY GRAMS

On Monday, February 10th thru Thursday, February 13th, the PTA will be selling Friendship Candy Grams. If you wish to participate, forms will be coming home that you may fill out and return to school. The cost for each candy grams is ONLY 25 cents. Send one to your Mom, Dad, sister, brother, teacher and friends! The candy grams will be delivered on Friday, February 14th! This year, we have a surprise for the one that buys the most candy grams!

WINTER OUTDOOR RECESS

It is that time of the year when we need to make sure our children have appropriate clothing for recess. We will be going outside for recess if the temperature and the wind chill are above 20 degrees.
